Trouble signing in
There is no password
5500API has no passwords, so there is nothing to reset. You sign in with a six-digit code sent to your email, every time. If someone gets into your email they can get into your account — which is true of any service with a "forgot password" link, we have just stopped pretending otherwise.
The code has not arrived
- Give it a minute, then look in spam or junk. It comes from noreply@5500api.com.
- Check the address you typed. We show the same page whether or not an address has an account, so a typo looks exactly like success.
- Ask for another. A new code replaces the old one; the old one stops working.
- Corporate filters. If your organisation blocks unfamiliar senders, ask IT to allow noreply@5500api.com.
The code is refused
- Codes expire after ten minutes and work once.
- After five wrong attempts the code is cancelled — ask for a new one.
- A code only works for the address it was sent to.
Someone else set up the account
If a colleague invited you, use the link in that invitation first; it adds you to their organisation, and then the code signs you in.
Still stuck
Email 5500api@claydesk.com from the address you are trying to use, and we will sort it out.
